Las Vegas welcomes around seven thousand new neighbors every month along with a host of tourists. This is due to the many attractions that the city provides to those who live and visit the area.

Las Vegas, also known as the "City of Sin," is founded as a city on May 15, 1905. Since then it has continued to grow rapidly and has become known as one of the worlds most famous cities.

The city started to gain fame in 1911. At this time, divorce laws were liberalized in the State of Nevada, making residency easier to attain.

A quick divorce could be attained after only six weeks of residency. These short-term residents would stay at dude ranches. These residents were the forerunners of the sprawling Strip hotels, which are so popular today.

The famous "Welcome to Las Vegas," sign was created in 1959 and still stands today. The sign welcomes both those moving there and those who are just coming for a visit to the city of lights and fun.
